International Economic Relations and Global Issues Programme

Coordinator: Artur Gradziuk

Analysts:

This extensive research area embraces first and foremost the key processes underway in the global economy, their impacts on multilateral cooperation institutions (WTO, IMF, G8, G20) and international economic organisations, the evolution of international law and institutions, as well as the role of the UN system and regional organisations. Also examined are the implications of sectoral policies for international relations, including global climate negotiations, WTO’s Doha Development Agenda, development policies and reforms of the international financial system. Attention is also paid to the growing importance of emerging powers, in particular China, India and Brazil, their relations with Poland and with the European Union.
