On 18 April, the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) hosted a closed expert seminar with Frank A. Rose, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Space and Defense Policy. The meeting served as an opportunity to discuss in depths the developments with regards to U.S. Missile Defence program, especially the recent announcement of modification of the project made by the U.S. Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel. 2013-04-17
On 17 April, the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) hosted the closed experts debate “EU Development Policy in a Changing World: Actors and Instruments”, with the participation of Félix Fernández Shaw, head of the Development Cooperation Coordination Division of the European External Action Service (EEAS). Representatives of think tanks, nongovernmental organisations as well as governmental and academic environments took part in the meeting moderated by PISM Deputy Director Beata Wojna. 2013-04-08
On 8 April 2013, the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM) organised a public lecture by David Usupashvili, Speaker of the Parliament of Georgia, on “European Integration of Georgia: New Opportunities and Old Challenges”. Welcoming remarks were by Jarosław Ćwiek-Karpowicz, the head of PISM’s Research Office, who also moderated the discussion that followed. |
