Karolina Borońska-Hryniewiecka, Head of the European Union Programme
Karolina holds a European Doctorate in Political Science. Her research focuses on EU institutional reform, theoretical and practical dimension of the concept of ‘good governance’ in the EU as well as lobbying and politics of interest groups. She is an assistant professor at the Institute of Political Science of the University of Wrocław and a lecturer at the Department of International Relations and European Studies of Masaryk University (2013-2015). She was a visiting fellow at the University of Deusto in Bilbao (2010) and a researcher at the Subsidiarity Monitoring Network of the Committee of the Regions in Brussels (2011). In 2012 she obtained the Polish Prime Minister Prize for her doctoral dissertation on multilevel governance and the role of the regions in EU policy-making and she was awarded the Jean Monnet Post-doctoral Fellowship at the European University Institute in Florence (2012/2013).
